About Sven
The sixth member of the Voltron Force, Sven is the original pilot of Blue Lion.  He got "replaced" on the Voltron force after Haggar had a robeast nearly kill him back on Arus.  Everyone on Doom got all excited that finally they wouldn't be able to form Voltron, but wouldn't you know it, Princess Pinky had to step in and take over the Blue Lion in his place.  Sven spent a while on Planet Ebb healing, and then Doom conquered it and he wound up our slave.  He escaped and survived in caves in the Pit of Skulls for a while until Romelle was tossed down there for refusing Lotor, and she found him.

After that, Sven wound up going all mushy for Romelle and never pursued going back to the Voltron Force, and instead went back to Pollux to stay with her and Prince Shorty.  I guess after being screwed out of a job by one princess, it's only fair that he gets a new one by screwing a second, heh heh!
