And the loser of the month for May 2007 is...

Avok!

As if Prince Bandor, the very first individual to earn the not-so-esteemed Loser of the Month award, and his sister Princess Romelle weren't already good enough examples of why the longstanding tradition of Polluxian inbreeding is bad, the eldest child of the late/insane (depending upon which media spin you choose to believe) King Cova was actually the best of the bunch.

That's not to say he wasn't a loser.  He started off with a bad impression when his father declared him the most powerful warrior right in front of Prince Lotor, who likes to keep that title for himself.  Needless to say, our prince wasn't about to be shown up by a human.

Unfortunately for Lotor, during the ensuing fight, he caught a glimpse of this,

another certain blond loser, and we all know what happens when our prince gets an eyeful of busty blond princess.

Yep, only one sword functions at a time, which led Avok to get the edge on his against Lotor and win.

Lotor did get the last laugh on Avok when he was turned into a robeast as a reward for his victory in the arena, and got a little more from his sister in the ship on the ride to Pollux later on, but when all was said and done and Avok still managed to lose to Voltron, our prince decided it was high time to give Avok the award he truly deserved, complete with a shot to the crotch just so he would know it was personal.

Congratulations, Prince Avok, in honor of your subpar inbred diplomatic and fighting skills, we here on Doom award you posthumously the un-prestigious award of Loser of the Month!
