Robeast” ![]()
Doom Log File Title: “The Pollux Alliance”
Summary: King Zarkon has a meeting with the royal family of Pollux, a sister world to Arus founded generations ago by a black sheep member of Alfor’s family that preferred war over peace. The Polluxians (King Cova, Prince Avok, Princess Romelle, and Prince Bandor) agree to an alliance with Doom to strengthen their forces so that they can invade Arus, who they’ve resented since the original bad blood in the family started. To seal the deal Avok agrees to become a robeast while Romelle (who’s a dead ringer for Allura) flirts with Lotor, who in return goes out of his way to impress her. The Voltron Force finds out what’s happening and decides to go to Pollux preemptively. They sneak in but get caught by Bandor and Romelle. The two princesses are shocked at how alike they look and consider making peace, but Bandor still wants war and to take over Arus. Meanwhile King Cova makes plans to double-cross Doom so they can have Arus themselves, which a spying Coba overhears. The cat tips off the Doom crew, and they release the Avok robeast on Castle Pollux, attacking both the Voltron Force and the Polluxians. The king and Avok are both casualties in the ensuing battle, and on their way out Lotor orders his soldiers to grab Romelle, who gets taken prisoner aboard his ship. Voltron pursues, but Lotor, Mogor, and the captive Romelle get away leaving only an angry Bandor behind. The Voltron Force and Bandor make peace with each other and they vow to get Romelle back. Our records show they took a while before trying, though. There were several more Voltron incidents that had nothing to do with the Polluxians before they show up in the log files again.
Notable Doom Highlights: This is the first current-dated entry Mogor made, and it was his first Voltron-related mission as fleet commander. It didn’t go all that well though, as you can see. According to Mogor, Lotor was so pissed about the Pollux disaster that he stepped on Mogor’s head for a good part of the ride home. Man, and I thought I didn’t get much respect! The arena fight between the pre-robeast Avok and Lotor was good too. They’ve both got some skill at hand to hand, so it made for a good match. I was on duty out in the Coral Quadrant at the time, but I wish I could’ve caught it on the projection unit. Yes, it is nice to know all the time and money I invested in my heir's fighting prowess is utterly pointless next to some T & A. When he fights, all his opponent has to do is yell "Hey, look at that topless blonde over there!" He'll look and he'll lose, like he did in this one. If I wasn't so used to this, I'd be weeping now.
Notes: The GA heavily edited the media feeds, but King Cova is blasted off of a gun turret and presumably dies (he’s never seen again after the blast, so you do the math) and Voltron brutally slices and dices the Avok robeast. Romelle cries that he (what’s left of him anyway) is swimming out to sea, but like his father you never see him again either so it’s not hard to figure out what happened.
