16. Season One, Episode Sixteen - “Bridge Over The River Chozzerai”

Doom Log File Title:  “Invasion of the Love Bridge”  (Cossack’s Note:  I don’t know if Mogor intended it to be that way, but was my mind the only one that went straight into the gutter after reading that title?)

Summary:  Prince Lotor sees the perfect chance to grab Princess Allura – in the middle of an Arusian ceremony commemorating two lovers from warring kingdoms that built a bridge across the river that separated them.  He crashes the party and tries to grab her, shoves Hunk into the water, and corners her by his ship where she takes a laser pistol and threatens to shoot herself.  Eventually she gets away and they’re able to form Voltron and dispense with the robeast Lotor sends at them.

Notable Doom Highlights:  Lotor has a nice little fantasy of how life would be if Allura was his bride, envisioning the wedding and their marriage carriage. (Hey, that rhymes!)  There was no honeymoon fantasy though.  Still, he must’ve babbled to Mogor at length about it at some point if he bothered to mention it in the official entry.  Also, although it doesn’t really pertain to us, it’s funny to see Hunk in a toga looking like some drunken frat boy trying to pick up a dumb blonde.  We also learned that it's Alliance protocol for the men to undergo mandatory leg waxing.  It must make wearing those spandex uniforms more tolerable.

Notes:  This was not one of Lotor’s better plans.  As a commander, I’d never bother with taking a battleship to a planet just to get laid.  Well, maybe if the chick was really hot I might borrow a battle cruiser, but still…
