And the losers of the month for December 2004 are...

The Space Mice!

Since there was a bit of a delay getting a loser out for December, in the spirit of holiday generosity I decided to nominate multiple losers for the spot of the last loser of 2004.  I, Cossack the Terrible, proudly present this award to those annoying space mice!

Why are the space mice losers, you ask?  Okay, how long a list do you want?  I mean, first of all, they're mice and they're considered important enough to get their own vehicle, and the Voltron force talks to them like they're contributing members of society.  I don't know what's in the water over there on Arus, but here on Doom we call those things vermin and we lay out traps that sever their heads when we find them in our pantry, not invite them to join us for tea and crumpets. 

Actually, I take that back.  There is one Doomite that has a use for them.  Coba thinks they'd make a fine snack.  Unfortunately, they're hard to catch, and he hasn't been able to sink his fangs into any of the little bastards yet... and to add insult to injury, they're smug about it.

As if all of that wasn't bad enough, these mice also have silly little outfits they prance around in, and the even the males dress like girly-girl women when they aren't in their silly pilot uniforms all so Princess Allura can be entertained.  Hey Arusians, this is your tax dollars at work.  Are you sure you don't want us to conquer you?  Yeah, King Zarkon might be a bloodthirsty tyrant, but at least he wouldn't take your hard-earned credits and use it to buy his pet mouse a frilly froo-froo dress.

Last of all, these mice are losers because our sources tell us that they're responsible for Voltron coming back.  One of these little squeaks stole the key to one of the Voltron lions once upon a time and kept it in his little mouse hole, and then gave it back to the princess, probably to get more free room and board.   I'd say that qualifies them as big losers, wouldn't you?
