And the loser of the month for August 2006 is...

Zundra!

Which witch is a loser?

This month's award goes to a local loser.  Unfortunately even on a great planet like Doom we get a few of these occasionally!

Zundra is a witch, much like Haggar.  In fact it was Haggar that nominated her for this award, one that was heartily seconded by Prince Lotor.  Though you could probably argue that she's better looking than Haggar (even though that's kinda like comparing slime mold to toxic waste...)

Oooh, she looks pissed.  Okay okay, maybe not toxic waste and just a robeast on a bad day.

Anyway as I was saying, Zundra earns the loser award for her witchery because her magic just isn't up to snuff compared to the Great Haggar (ooh good save!) and because she made promises to Prince Lotor and didn't quite deliver.  First off, she bragged about how powerful she was to Lotor and convinced him to ditch Haggar and hire her instead.

She swore her magic potion was the strongest thing ever (Yeah like we all haven't heard that from the local witches.  There was this one time I bought an endurance potion and the only thing that endured were my trips to the can!  Er, anyway, as I was saying...) and that he didn't need to take any men with him on a trip to Arus because this was supposedly instant robeast in a jar and could do in Voltron without any help. 

Uh-huh.  Now call me crazy, but I'd still take the soldiers and the robeast in a jar and stack odds in my favor.  Unfortunately Lotor trusted her and found out that ol' Zundra's BS wasn't nearly as lethal as Voltron's variety and he barely made it back from Arus with what he needed, much less an easy defeat of the Voltron Force.

Needless to say, the only promotion she got from Lotor after that was a Snake Venom Special.

But don't say we never appreciated you, Zundra.  This award's all for you: August 2006 Loser of the Month!
