It's a peaceful day in New Thundera.  Nocti & Hypnos are out on their dates.  Orintha & Arakni are busy in the rooms doing their homework. Waterturkey is showing Acrapha around the place, for it is her first time in the New Cat's Lair.  Lion-O & Hystalin are busy attending to some diplomatic matters in New Thundera's new City Hall.  All is peaceful, however...

Miles away, a spaceship soars through the cosmos.  It moves quickly through space, at light speed.  It was the Ratstar, on onboard, the infamous Rataro, a mutant warlord who was long forgotten.  He comes to New Thundera, to conquer the ThunderCats.

While Lion-O & Hystalin are in City Hall...

Lion-O:  "So how goes the construction of Thundera City?"
Mayor:  "Thundera City now is a city of 1,000,000 civilians now.
Thundera City is now too big to house any more civilians.  We wish to make another city, and name after your beautiful wife.  We are thinking of calling it 'Hystville'.  What do you think?"
Lion-O:  "What do you think about it Hystalin?"
Hystalin:  "My, I'm flattered.  I would love the idea of having a city named after me... and with such a very tasteful name for it as well."
Lion-O:  "Then it settled.  We approve your plan of making a..."

Just then, there is a loud rumble, then a sonic boom.  Everyone inside is in a panic.  Hystalin runs toward Lion-O.

Hystalin:  "Honey, what's going on?"
Lion-O:  "I don't know... but I'll protect you."

Just then, there was a beam of green light that came down from above. The beam subsides, and wouldn't you know, the infamous Rataro is present.

Rataro:  "Well, well... we meet again Lion-O!"
Hystalin:  "Who the hell is this yutz?"
Rataro:  "What did you call me?"
Lion-O:  "I cannot believe it!"
Hystalin:  "Lion-O, who is this guy?  He looks butt-ugly!"
Lion-O:  "That is Rataro.  He's a warlord from the planet Plundarr."
Rataro:  "I shouldn't have been away for so long.  I see you have a concubine to keep you busy."
Hystalin:  "Concubine???  How DARE you call me that!"

And now.. a fight ensues... Hystalin goes after Rataro face to face. She breaks out her Magic Sword of Fire and readies for combat.

Hystalin:  "No one calls me a concubine and lives!  NO ONE!"
Rataro:  "Well... we'll se about that."

Hystalin ran to Rataro with her sword in hand.  She strikes Rataro but he jumps out of the way.  Rataro retaliated with his Rats' Eyes. Hystalin dodges out of the way.  She then in return unleashed the White Wind.  Rataro was not even phased by the White Winds.  Rataro attacked again, but Hystalin was hit.  Hystalin was knocked unconscious.  Lion-O runs toward Hystalin, but he gets hit as well.  Lion-O falls unconscious next to Hystalin.  Rataro is very pleased that he was able to beat the Lord & Lady of the ThunderCats in a fair fight.

Rataro used the Ratstar to beam up Lion-O & Hystalin inside the massive ship and instantly put them both in a prison cell.  They were instantly bound and gagged.  Their swords were hung nearby, on the wall.

Nocti & Hypnos came back from their dates.  They went in and got comfortable.  Nocti sat on the couch and turned on the TV.  The first channel she turns on is the NTNC (New Thundera News Channel).

Announcer:  "... and finally, we have some distressing news.  Lion-O & Hystalin, the Lord & Lady of the ThunderCats has been kidnapped.  In the New Thundera City Hall, the infamous Rataro, warlord from the planet
Plundarr, is holding them for ransom.  His demands that control of New
Thundera is to be passed on to him, or he will slowly kill his
hostages."
Nocti:  "What?  Mom & Dad are kidnapped?"

Nocti ran to her sisters and broke the terrible news.  Then they set up a meeting at the council table.

Nocti:  "I take it that all of you heard the news.  It seems that Rataro wants New Thunder or he'll murder my parents."
Panthro:  "Rataro?"
Cheetara:  "He's returned?"
Hypnos:  "I take it that you guys has faced this guy before."
Cheetara:  "We've fought against him before in the past.  I thought he would never return to face us again."
Nocti:  "Panthro, what do you recommend that we do?"
Panthro:  "Well Nocti, if you want my opinion, I recommend that we should send a small group in the Ratstar to free Lion-O & Hystalin, making sure that he thinks he has the upper hand."
Nocti:  "Sounds like a good plan to me.  Panthro, take Wylikit, Wylikat & Waterturkey in the Whisker and see if you can sneak inside the Ratstar.  Cheetara, I ask you to make sure Acrapha, Orintha & Arakni are on standby in case we need backup.  If Panthro's group fails, I, Hypnos & Ben Gali will come.  If we fail, Cheetara, take your group and perform the rescue.  It will be dangerous, but this must be done in orders to save Mom & Dad.  Are we in agreement?"

No one did have any problems with the plan.

Nocti:  "Good, then it's settled.  Panthro, fire up the Whisker.  Ben Gali, fire up the ThunderStrike.  We got a rescue to do."

The Whisker & the ThunderStrike were in flight.  Cheetara, Acrapha, Orintha & Arakni were on standby.

The Whisker flew near the Ratstar and put the ship in Stealth Mode.  Then Panthro set the Whisker under the belly of the Ratstar and set the ship on Hover Mode.  Panthro opened the hatch and his group got inside the Ratstar, and Rataro did not see anything.  Cheetara has the monitors up in the New Cat's Lair and sees that Panthro is successful in his part of the mission.

Panthro, Wylikit, Wylikat & Waterturkey are inside, looking for the brig. While inside, Rataro encounters them in the hall.

Rataro:  "So, you've come here to deliver your answer?"
Waterturkey:  "This is my answer."

Waterturkey used her magic to soak Rataro in water.

Waterturkey:  "My answer is... you stink.  You were in dire need of a bath!"

This made Rataro very angry.  And soon a fight ensues.  Rataro uses his Rats' Eyes on the group.  Everyone jumped out of the way.  Panthro struck with his nunchuku, the ThunderKittens used their Twin Magic, Waterturkey used her magic to throw a ball of water.  Rataro used his Rats' Eyes to phase out all of the attacks.  Then, Rataro struck.  In one swoop, he fell Panthro, knocked Wylikit & Wylikat unconscious & froze Waterturkey in her tracks.  Then, they were thrown in the prison cell with Lion-O & Hystalin,
bound and gagged.

Hystalin:  (in a somewhat muffled voice) "Why do you come here again?"
Rataro:  "Simple, my little concubine... Revenge.  Your little pimp defeated me in battle a few years ago.  So, I've come back to have a  rematch.  And as soon as I control New Thundera, my revenge will be complete."

Cheetara radioed in to Nocti on the ThunderStrike.

Cheetara:  "Nocti, Panthro's group has not radioed in.  I presume his group has been captured.  It's now your turn to strike."

t hope.  Nocti out."

Nocti flew the ThunderStrike toward the Ratstar, there Nocti, Hypnos & Ben Gali made a frontal attack.  They shot their laser cannons at the Ratstar and slightly overwhelmed Rataro.

Nocti:  "Ben Gali, control the ThunderStrike from your pod.  I'm going inside."
Ben Gali:  "But it will be dangerous!  You'll be alone."
Nocti:  "I'll do anything to free my parents, even at the cost of my life!"

Nocti used her magic teleport herself out of the ThunderStrike and onboard the Ratstar.

Meanwhile, Rataro was in the control room trying to stabilize the damage. Just then, Nocti came up to face Rataro.

Nocti:  "Ok, Rataro!  I'm only asking you once... SET MY PARENTS FREE!!!"
Rataro:  "And who might you be... and who does your wardrobe?"
Nocti:  "I am Nocti, Princess of the New Thundera."
Rataro:  "So you must be related to Lion-O and his little concubine,
Hystalin.  I can see the resemblance."
Nocti:  "How DARE you call my mother a concubine!  I ought to break your neck for that!"
Rataro:  "HA!  We'll see about that!"

Rataro used his Rats' Eyes at Nocti.  She quickly jumped away from the line of fire and found her mother's Magic Sword of Fire, and her father's Sword of Omens.  She quickly grabbed the two enchanted blades and made ready for battle.  Nocti jumped in front of Rataro and slashed with one of the blades.  Rataro jumped away and counterattacked.  She blocked it with the Sword of Omens in her right hand, and the Magic Sword of Fire in her right.  She screams in anger as she makes one final strike.  She
plunges the Magic Sword of Fire deep in Rataro's chest.  Rataro staggered as he tries to recover from the attack but to no avail.  He tries to stop the blood coming from the wound in his chest, but fails.  He falls to the ground, and passes away.  Nocti pulls the sword out of Rataro's body, then set's the Ratstar to self-destruct in 5 minutes and runs through the ship quickly and finds the brig.  She uses the Sword of Omens to break the cell
open, and quickly untied everyone's bonds.

Lion-O:  "Nocti, how did you get in?"
Nocti:  "No time to talk.  This thing going to blow in less than 5
minutes.  We better get out asses out of her and fast!"
Hystalin:  "How did you get free us?"
Nocti:  "I use your Magic Sword of Fire & Dad's Sword of Omens."
Lion-O:  "You what?"
Nocti:  "I used your swords.  Hope you two aren't mad at me."
Hystalin:  "Nocti, we couldn't be any happier.  Now let's go!"
Lion-O:  "Wait!  What about Rataro?"
Nocti:  "Don't worry, I rubbed him out."
Panthro:  "You killed him?"
Nocti:  "No, I got a big eraser and beat him across the face with it.  Of course, I killed him!"
Lion-O:  "Well, we'll talk about that later, but until then, let's get out of here!"

Hystalin & Nocti prepared a teleportation spell and everyone inside escaped as the Ratstar explodes.  They all landed safely at the New Cat's Lair.  Ben Gali saw from above that they were all safe and used the a remote control to sent the Whisker, that was still hovering, back in the lair.

Later that day, Lion-O & Hystalin were talking to Nocti about her successful mission.

Lion-O:  "Nocti, we need to talk."
Nocti:  "Uh-oh.  You two are mad at me, aren't you."
Hystalin:  "No, we're not.  We wanted to thank you."
Nocti:  "You do?"
Lion-O:  "We are.  We owe you our lives today.  If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be alive."
Nocti:  "You know I would do anything for you.  I love you guys."
Hystalin:  "That's good, but did you have to kill Rataro?"
Nocti:  "But mom, he tried to kill me.  What's worse, he called you a 'concubine'."
Hystalin:  "Oh, he did?  Then I have no problem with it at all."
Lion-O:  "Hold it Hyst.  Nocti, which sword did you use to kill Rataro, my sword or you mother's?"
Nocti:  "I used Mom's sword."
Lion-O:  "Oh.  Besides, you cannot kill anything with my sword.  The Eye of Thundera does not kill anything."
Hystalin:  "My sword does not follow that rule.  I guess that's why."
Nocti:  "I hope you're not mad at me because of that."
Hystalin:  "Just promise me that you won't make a habit of this."
Nocti:  "Ok."
Hystalin:  "Good."
Lion-O:  'Nocti, I think it's time."
Nocti:  "Time for what?"
Lion-O:  "I think it's time for you to be an official ThunderCat.  What do you think of that?"
Nocti:  "Me?  I... I would love that."

The next day, there was an annointment ceremony.  There was a large crowd as Nocti was ready for the ritual.

Lion-O:  "Friends, we are here to welcome a new member to the ThunderCats.  Nocti, do you accept the title as a ThunderCat noble and follow the Code of Thundera... Truth, Justice, Honor & Loyalty?"
Nocti:  "Yes."
Lion-O:  "Then by the power invested in the Sword of Omens, I anoint you... ThunderCat... Nocti.  Now rise.  Rise an witness your destiny."

Nocti rose and turned around, and witnessed the crowd as they welcome Nocti into ThunderCat-hood.  Nocti, who is the first child of New Thundera, but she is also the first ThunderCat of New Thundera.
