Broken Seal

Chapter 6

Two days later, New Thundera was completely in mourning. The casket that carried Panthro's body was marched throughout the neighboring cities around the Cat's Lair. Lion-O led the match, along with his six daughters: Nocti, Hypnos, Waterturkey, Acrapha, Orintha & Arakni.  Every spectator was full of tears in their eyes as the funeral march continues.

During the march, four particular spectators were all full of cries.  It was Kyttihawk, Sphynxorius, Tigerlily & Tygarius. "Oh Panthro, rest peacefully!" Kyttihawk shouted with tears in her eyes. "We will always remember you." Tygarius shouted. The march stopped momentarily. "Hello Kyttihawk, Tygarius, Tigerlily & Sphynxorius.  I'm sorry we had to meet again at these circumstances." Lion-O said.  Tigerlily said tearfully, "We wanted to see Panthro one last time." Sphynxorius was silent with sadness. "I would be honored if the four of you would sit by me and my daughters." Lion-O said. The four openly accepted, and the funeral march continued through Thundera City & Hystville.

After three hours, the funeral march ended at the back of the New Cat's Lair. The casket that held Panthro was laid on an ornate platform with gold trims. There was not a dry eye within a 5-mile radius.

Lion-O walked up to speak to the audience. "My people, today, we come together to say good-bye to a noble ThunderCat. Panthro brought joy and happiness to us all. His technical advances were immeasurable.  Now, we come to say good-bye to a technician, a ThunderCats, and most of all, our friend. May you rest in peace Panthro. May Jaga comfort you..." Lion-O was barely able to say the last few words without breaking out in tears himself. Nocti & Hypnos surrounded Lion-O with hugs and comfort.

Ailura, who was second to talk about the late Panthro, spoke about her late husband in her own words. "Fellow Thunderians, I loved this man. For the time we've been married, we shared love, happiness, and a son. I'm sorry he had to die the way he did. However, I'm sure the one who did this, Muhin, will pay for this senseless murder!" Ailura's sadness quickly turned to rage. "That evil brother of mine killed my husband! When my sister and niece were talking together, Muhin attacked. All of you know him better has Mumm-Ra. He had my sister kill my husband! Hystalin, why didn't you have enough control to stop yourself? Why did you make me a widow? Why does my son, Brainchild, has to live without his father? WHY??!?!?!?!?" Ailura screamed, kneeled down, and cried profusely. Brainchild, Wylikit & Wylikat walked up to Ailura, so they could pry her away to her seat.

Minutes later, the service was about to end. The casket was slowly laid down to the ground, where Panthro was to rest eternally.  Everyone was full of tears.

Meanwhile, Pumyra was in the infirmary, checking on Hystalin, who was unconscious on a hospital bed. "Now let me see if I can amputate the tail..." Pumyra used every single medical device at her disposal on Hystalin's tail. Nothing worked. "What could be making that tail stick?" Pumyra thought. "Saiyin's tails are supposed to be easily detached."

After the funeral, Brainchild was alone in a room. He kneeled down and mourned for his father. He put up a brave front for his mother, so she could suffer at least as she could. "Why?" Brainchild said.  "Why did you have to go?" Just then, Panthro's spirit came to Brainchild. "My son," Panthro said, "it was my time to go. However, there is a way to bring me back." Brainchild looked up with amazement in his eyes. "Oh? How?" Brainchild said impetuously. "You must find seven Dragon Balls that are scattered throughout New Thundera.  Before my death, I made a Dragon Ball tracker with the help of your cousin Hypnos. Go to my old lab and use it, so you could bring me back to life." Panthro was about to fade away. "Father, come back!  How do I used the Dragon Balls?" Brainchild said. "Ask Nocti. She knows how..." Panthro's spirit faded away. "If the Dragon Balls will bring my father back, then I will find them all, no matter what!"
