Hystalin was unknowingly destroying everything in sight. She had no control of herself during her mutant form. Nocti, in her cat/monkey hybrid status, was able to control herself and trying to stop her mother from growing more destructive.

"Mother," Nocti shouted in a muffled voice, "Mother, stop this! You don't know what you're doing!" Hystalin did not pay attention. Nocti did not want to fight, but she almost felt that she had no choice. "MOTHER STOP!!!!" Nocti shouted loudly. Still, Hystalin could no pay attention in her mutant status.

Hystalin uprooted a very tall tree and struck Nocti across the face with it. Nocti jumped back before the hit connected. Nocti tried preparing a paralysis spell, but due to her current mutant status, her spell was nullified. "Damn! I totally forgot!" Nocti said under her breath. "My magic will not work while I am in my mutant status!"  Hystalin continued to attack.

Meanwhile, back in the New Cat's Lair, the alarms were going stir crazy. Lion-O, Ailura & Krysa ran to the control room, where the rest of the ThunderCats were at this point. "Panthro, what going on?" Lion-O asked. Panthro immediately put up an image on the monitor of Nocti & Hystalin (both in their respective mutant forms) fighting against each other about 5 miles in an uninhabited area.

"What the... Hystalin & Nocti are in their mutant forms?" Lion-O wondered. "I thought the full moon is only a week from now." Panthro pushed several more buttons on the control panel. "I've did some scrutinizing on the light emanating in the area." Panthro said. "The light is artificial." "Who could produce false moonlight?" Tygra said aloud. Lion-O immediately responded, "Who else could it be? It has to be Mumm-Ra!"

Back in the fight scene, Nocti & Hystalin were still fighting. Nocti felt that she reached the end of her limits and proceeded fighting back. Nocti started by pushing Hystalin aside. When Hystalin rushed forward to counterattack, Nocti ducked and reached for Hystalin's tail. Nocti grabbed the tail and proceeded to yank it off. She tried pulling the tail off of Hystalin, but it would not budge. Nocti was confused. "This is unexpected. Saiyin's tails are easily detached.  How come this tail will not budge?" Nocti thought. Hystalin backhanded Nocti, which made Nocti lose her grip on her mother's tail.

Back at the New Cat's Lair, Lion-O, Panthro, Ailura & Krysa drove in the Thundertank, so that they could help with the situation. "Panthro honey?" Ailura said to her husband. "Any chance you can make thistank go any faster?" Panthro said to his wife, "I'm going as fast as I can. We'll be there soon!"
