Treasures of Thundera Mailing List

This is an open list for people to post their Thundercats related fanfiction, discuss it, and exchange ideas. All are welcome and encouraged to participate by submitting their fanfiction and/or any insights and thoughts on it!  Anyone is welcome to join, it is free and the only requirement is that you be a fan of Thundercats and its fanfiction.  Writers are especially encouraged to join and post their work, as they are what makes the list possible!

Please note that due to a problem with spammers joining the list, the membership is restricted.  Upon subscribing if you do not have a profile or appear to otherwise be a "real" person you are likely to get an email verifying your interest in the list to ensure you're not a bot-spammer.  Please answer this email promptly or else you risk your subscription being rejected.

Rules of the Treasures of Thundera Mailing List

The list moderators only ask that you abide by the following guidelines in posting:

1) Please keep off topic posts to a minimum. One is fine every once in a while, provided it has "OT" in the subject header marking it as an off topic post so those not interested may delete it if they wish. Please try to leave non Thundercats-related posts off of the list whenever possible.

2) Absolutely, positively NO SPAMMING! Nothing gets people annoyed faster than finding a bunch of spams in their mailbox, and it will not be tolerated on this list. Anyone sending spams, chain letters, or other such junk mail to the list will be removed from it.

3) Don't flame your fellow list members. Well-meant, constructive criticism of someone's work is acceptable, but rude and nasty flaming is not. Anyone being abusive other members will be removed from the list. If you feel you must say something nasty to someone, please take it into IMs or private email.

4) Fanfic Posting Guidelines: Any and all fanfic related to Thundercats is welcome in this list, including regular fanfiction, "weird" stories (a.k.a. sex, parody, and other creative and "different" type stories), stories relating to characters from Thundercats-related RPGs, and anything else you may come up with. Just please post your subject headers accordingly:

• Put "WS" in the subject line of a Weird Story post, so those who are not fans of that sort of story may choose to not read it if they wish
• Put "ADULT" in the subject line of any story containing sexual or sexual themed content, even if it is not a "Weird Story"
• Label any Crossover story as such in the subject line of at least the first few posts of it, or in a small sentence at the top of each post, just so people are aware of the fact that they are reading a crossover before they begin. Also mention the universe they are crossing with if possible.
• RPG-related stories only have to be labelled as such if they don't have any show characters in them, or if the plot would not make sense to a reader not in the RPG it was based on. Other than that it is up to the author's discretion.
• Post all stories as either text within email messages or as attached text files. Please don't send word processor documents, as people on the list are likely to have varied systems and may not be able to read the word processor document on your own system. Most word processors will let you save as a text file.
• Fan Art is also welcome on this list. You may attach any artwork with your stories or as separate post submissions, but keep in mind all list readers may not be able to download the attachments.
• In the first post of a story at the very least, and preferably in all posts, please include a rating for your story... this doesn't have to be complex, but in general choose G for something anyone would read, PG for anything with a bit more violence, swearing, or innuendo, PG 13 for anything with a strong or recurring sexual theme or lots of violence, and R for anything with really objectionable content. Use your own judgement, think if it were a movie or TV show, how would it be rated, and post it accordingly.
• Mention either in a separate post or at the beginning of a fanfic post the email address or name you want credited to the story, whether or not comments are welcome, and whether or not you would like it archived in the official list story archive.
• Also please put in a disclaimer for the use of copyrighted characters, stating that they remain property of those who created them, to avoid legal hassles.
