~As Tygra walked, he heard footsteps behind him.
Quickly he turned around whip out and ready. Behind him though, was no danger,
but a Wolow merchant and his donkey. In the Wolow's hand was a red and gold
pendant in the shape of an eye...~
The Wolow jumped a little and Tygra relaxed.
"Please! I mean no harm Thundercat! " the Wolow
said holding his hands up.
"I'm sorry." Tygra apologized putting away his whip,
"I thought that you were a Mutant or something."
The Wolow relaxed this time and sighed. Tygra smiled
and saw the pendant that the Wolow was holding out of the corner of his eye.
"What's that you have there?" he questioned pointing
to the Wolow's hand.
"This? I'm not quite sure. I found it near the edge
of the forest." the Wolow replied holding the pendant out to Tygra.
Tygra eyed the pendant a little. There was something
about it that made him edgy. The Wolow grinned and held it up a little higher
for Tygra to see.
"Perhaps, you would take a look at it and see if
you know what it is." he said.
Tygra looked at the Wolow, and then back at the
pendant. It looked harmless enough to him.
"All right. I'll have a look." Tygra said, and took
the pendant from the Wolow.
The Wolow backed up a little as did his donkey.
Tygra looked the pendant over a few times. It looked like an ordinary pendant.
As tygra held the pendant looking it over, the pendant began to glow. Tygra's
eyes widened.
"Tiger's Eye Pendant, tame this tiger!!" the Wolow
commanded.
The Pendant glowed brighter. Soon, there was a brightg
flash and the pendant disappeared, reappearing on Tygra's forhead.
"What the...?" Tygra said, both shocked and confused.
The Wolow laughed and then turned into Mumm-ra,
the donkey turning into Ma-mutt. Tygra growled, and started to draw his whip
when he felt dizzy. Things began to blurr and soon, all Tygra saw was the
ground rushing up towards him..then darkness.
Mumm-ra chuckled and walked over to the unconscious
Tiger, the pendant glowing softly on his forehead. Ma-mutt sniffed Tygra
and growled.
"Calm down Ma-mutt.." he said, and the dog whined,
"I know..this isn't how the scriptures said it would happen, but maybe this
is because Tygra is half human as well as Bengal Tiger. The spell will kick
in soon though, don't worry."
Ma-mutt barked and Mumm-ra picked up the unconscious
Thundercat. Then, with a snap of his fingers they vanished.
At the Berbil Village, Panthro stood unpatiently
standing leaning against the Thundertank. The Berbils were goinf on with
their work in the Village.
"He was supposed to be here 2 hours ago." Panthro
thought, "Better see if he ever left."
Panthro reached inside of the Thundertank and grabbed his communicator,
turning it on to the frequency of the lair.
"Panthro to Cats Lair, come in." he said.
"Cats Lair here, Lion-o speaking. Hey Panthro."
Lion-o responded.
"Say, has Tygra left for the village yet? He was
supposed to be here an hour ago." Panthro said.
There was a short pause and then Lion-o's voice
returned.
"He left about 30 minutes ago, Panthro. He should
be there by now. The Unicorn Forest was the fastest way to get there and
that's the way he took." he said.
Panthro thought for a sec, then smiled.
"Tygra pprobably wondered over to the Bridge of
Light to examine it again and forgot all about meeting me here. Old age does
that to the memory you know." he chuckled.
"Panthro, you really shouldn't say that about Tygra.
You know he's sensitive about those things." Lion-o scolded.
"I know, I know. But I was just joking. Well, I'll
head home and on my way stop by the bridge and see if he's there. If he arrives
here after I'm gone I'll have the Berbils tell him where I went." Panthro
said, "Over and out."
The communicator was shut off and Panthro waved
good-bye to the Berbils hen drove off towards the Bridge of Light. At Cats
Lair, Lion-o sat in the control room thinking. He was hoping that Tygra was
at the Bridge of light and not in any kind of trouble.
At the Black Pyramid the unconscious Tygra layed
on a flat stone table unmoving except for his breathing. Mumm-ra, still in
his ever living form stood over him, staring at the Tiger's Eye Pendant that
was dimly growing on his forehead. He frowned.
"This is taking too long." He mumbled, "Perhaps
there's something in the scripture that would help speed the process up?"
He walked over to the scripture on the wall where
he had found out about the Tiger's eye Pendant and found what he was looking
for. Quickly, he went back to where he was standing and held his hands up
high.
"Oh Ancient Spirits that created this Pendant! Help
the seed of evil that is within this Thundercat grow so that he may become
my servant of evil!" he called out.
The four statues that were inside of the pyramid
glowed and their eyes shot out red beams of energy hitting the pendant. The
pendant glowed a blood red like Mumm-ra's eyes and then the glow went throughout
Tygra's body. When the glow died, Mumm-ra waited.
Slowly, Tygra's eyes opened, at first glowing red,
then the glow stopped and they were just red. He sat up and got off of the
table, kneeling before Mumm-ra.
"Master," he said, his voice erie with evil, "I
am your servant. I shall do as you say."
Mumm-ra smiled and Ma-mutt wagged his tail. The
Thundercat Tygra was gone. Someone else had taken his place...
