Tiger Eye part one
By:Makoto

The dark clouds hovered above the Black Pyramid, sparks of lightning flickering every now and then. Inside of the pyramid, Mumm-ra stood before his cauldron petting Ma-mutt. In the cauldron, there was a picture of the sword of Omens, and its owner, Lion-o, holding it. His red eyes narrowed and he petted Ma-mutt harder, scratching the mutts head.
Ma-mutt whined in response to being petted so hard and jumped down from Mumm-ra's arms. Mumm-ra didn't seem to notice and kept staring at the cauldron.
"If those wretched Thundercats hadn't of arrived here, this planet would belong to me!" he mumbled, clenching his hands into fists.
Mumm-ra turned away from the cauldron, letting the image disappear into oblivion and walked towards his sarcophagus. But just as he was about to enter it, Mumm-ra turned back around and looked at some of the old scriptures that were on the wall. One of them told of how an older ancestor of Mumm-ra's had once tamed a wild tiger cat that had crept into his pyramid and tried to destroy his sarcophagus.
What he had tamed the cat with, was the Tiger's Eye pendant. The pendant, Mumm-ra read carefully, could tame any cat that was of the Bengal species by just placing the pendant upon the tiger's forehead.
A grin crossed Mumm-ra's face. He knew of at least one Thundercat that was of the Bengal species, and he also knew that the bengal was one of Lion-o's most trusted friends. Mumm-ra kept reading the scripture and finally learned hwo he could get the pendant.
Following what the scriptures on the wall had said, Mumm-ra slowly stepped into the middle of the cauldrom, the water soaking his bandages. Mumm-ra didn't care about a few bandages getting wet, what he wanted was that pendant.
"Oh Ancient anscestors, hear me!" Mumm-ra said looking into the pool, "Send to methrough the Gates of Time, the Tiger's Eye Pendant!"
There was a glow from the cauldron water, and then, the water began to swirl and rise. Mumm-ra watched carefully, knowing that he would have to grab the pendant quickly once it appeared in the water. After a few seconds, there was a second glow in the swirling water and a red pendant in the shape of an eye appeared at the bottom of the cauldron.
Quickly, Mumm-ra snatched the pendant from where it layed and held it firmly in his hands. Slwoly, the water died down and returned to normal as Mumm-ra made his way out of the caulron. As soon as he was out, he smiled at what he held in his hand. The pendant was a blood red gem outlined in gold in the shape of an eye. It was barely the size of Mumm-ra's palm.
"Now all I have to do, is get this on that Tiger's forehead.." Mumm-ra said to himself, and tried to think of a way to put his plan into action.
     Then, he got an idea.
"Come here Ma-mutt, I'll need your help on this one.." Mumm-ra grinned, and the dog happily walked over to him.

"Where did I put those?" Tygra mumbled to himself, pushing a pile of papers onto the floor.
Tygra stood tip-toed on top of a chair, looking through the shelves that were in his study. On the floor, papers were everywhere. Another pile soon joined them as Tygra checked the shelf beside the one he was looking at. The door to the study soon opened and Cheetara walked in, nearly slipping on a pile of papers.
"Tygra, what are you doing in here?" she questioned, moving the papers aside.
"Hmm..?" Tygra said, turning his head to Cheetara holding some papers in his mouth.
     Cheetara smiled.
"I said, what are you doing in here? You were supposed to meet Panthro at the Berbil Village an hour ago!" she said.
Tygras eyes widened and he jumped off the chair, taking the papers out of his mouth.
"I was..?" he said, then remembered, "I was!! Thanks for reminding me!"
"I swear, you get so caught up in your work that you'd forget you head if it wasn't attached!" Cheetara giggled, "Perhaps your memory is going with age?"
     Tygra's fur bristled.
"I am not old!" he snarled.
"The big 4 0 is coming soon Tygra.." Cheetara teased, and Tygra's eyes narrowed.
"Quit rubbing it in.." he growled, and rushed ut of the room.
"I didn't mean..oh never mind.." Cheetara called, but he was already down the corner.
Cheetara sighed and walked down the hall. But she couldn't help but laugh a little at thinking about how Tygra had been forgetting so many things. He even forgot that today was his birthday, the big 4 0 as she called it.
"Is he gone?" Kit asked, popping her head out of den.
"Just left. Doesn't even know it's his birthday." Cheetara giggled.
     Kit smiled.
"Come on, Cheetara! Kat, Snarf and I need some help hanging up these banners!" she said, ad disappeared back into the den.
Cheetara followed to help the three get things ready for a surprise Birthday Party.

Tygra walked through the Unicron Forest with an annoyed look on his face.
"Old? Me? I am ot getting old! 40 is not old!!" Tygra thought, fur bristling in anger.
Then he looked at his arms. His once bright orange fur had faded and become darker and his stripes did kind of look grey. Tygra stopped and looked at this for awhile. Then, he shook his head and began walking again, this time at a slower pace. Maybe, just maybe, he was getting old.
As Tygra walked, he heard footsteps behind him. Quickly he turned around, whip out and ready. Behind him though, was no danger, but a Wolow merchant and his donkey. In the Wolow's hand was a red and gold pendant in the shape of an eye....
