Trivia and other random stuff about the webmistress of this site:

My day-to-day rants, complaints, and other assorted ramblings can be found in my LiveJournal.  Commonly asked questions pertaining to me and my site can be found answered here.

My online persona has taken a couple of forms.  Thundercats fans know my persona as that of a psi Lunatac as illustrated in this image below drawn by Slinky Avenger.  Denizens of the Denubian that know me from the Voltron fandom don't have a solid idea of my true form, as my avatars tend to be that of Cossack, Yurak, or Haggar.  Perhaps it's just Cheezey the psi in a Doom helmet!

My page has been online in some form or another since 1997.  I started out with a small Thundercats page, Cheezey's Thundercats Zone, that grew to a big Thundercats page and got some small offshoots along the way.  The Voltron section, Cossack the Terrible's Tour of Planet Doom, was created in 2004 and represents my renewed and enthusiastic interest in Voltron.

I am an evil fan through and through.  I don't know why that is, as I've been told I'm a rather nice person (although a few would disagree, I'm sure, heh heh) but I gravitate toward villains more often than not.  The Doomites of Voltron and the Lunatacs of Thundercats are my favorite groups of evil baddies.  These tastes are heavily reflected in my fanfics for both series.

Why do I like Cossack and Yurak damn much?  Well, I like Cossack because he makes me laugh and he's a lot of fun.  Also, and I do mean this as a complement, he and Coldwin have a lot in common.  Sure, he's not the stunner that pretty boy Prince Lotor is, but he's also a lot less sulky and broody, and not hung up on a blond ditz of a princess.  Cossack's the kind of guy you can kick back with some beers, laugh, and have a good time mocking goody-goodies with.  I can dig that in a bad guy.  And Yurak?  He's a great foil for Cossack (yeah, I know they never met in the show, but still, I can imagine) and I get out a kick of his driven Type A hardcore personality.  His armor is also damn cool.  Plus he's a tall hulking bad guy with big ears and a balding look on his head.  I seem to grow fond of those.

What about Alluro?  Wasn't he your favorite for years?  But of course!  I still adore Alluro.  I know he's tall, purple, middle-aged, bald, and has bad posture, but he's got such a sexy voice, how can you resist it?  Yeah, he has an ego the size of a small planet (to quote a Dark Wing Duck episode), but when you're Alluro, how can you not have an ego?  After all, there's no one on this or any other planet that can resist his mental powers.  And he also has pointy ears, and I'm fond of the color purple.  Lastly, the psyche club and ability to bend people to your will just rocks.

In real life I'm married to an elf.  Ok, so the elf thing is an online persona, but it's still fun to say.  We got married in August 2003 after having known each other for years.  We actually met through the Thundercats fandom.  He started out as Kith the Elven Lord there, and since our time in EverQuest which we played for 2 years he became known as Coldwin, the name of his dark elf shadow knight he played in that game, which he has stuck with.

Some would say I'm too old to be doing this.  Granted, I'm not ancient or anything.  I've got nothing on Mumm-Ra or Haggar.  My birthday is September 23, 1975 (you will send me gifts, you do not stand a chance) so this little Libra is certainly of an appropriate age to have enjoyed my 80s cartoons.  I could grow up and pretend I only have "mature" interests like my enjoyment of gardening, but who cares?  This isn't high school and if you deem me a dork I'll only shrug and say yeah, so?  I work with plenty of people twice my age with "grown-up" hobbies and trust me, some of them have a lot more to learn about maturity than a lot of the people I know from online cartoon fandoms.

Cheezey is a name that comes from a nickname I had for a beloved cat of mine I had from 1991-1999.  No, he wasn't orange.  He was actually white with black splotches.  The evolution of the nickname is long and somewhat silly, much like my ramblings.

I have a lot of pets.  Right now I have a dog named Jobober, and four cats: Chibi, Wiley, Viola, and Midnight.  Midnight is a grown kitten of Viola's, one of a litter of four.  My father has another from her litter, a black cat named JumJum.  Yes, Jobober and JumJum were names derived from things in EverQuest.  Jobober was at least a genuine pet name though.

I'm a mad scientist.  Well, I work as a scientist for a pharmaceutical company, and some of the people I work with make me mad or at least have the capacity to drive me mad.  But overall, being a lab slave isn't so bad, and it pays the bills, including the one for this site, so who am I to complain?
